“Hakone” color studies

The figurative landscape project is inspired by centuries-old Chinese painting techniques that are most commonly produced on silk or paper scrolls oriented vertically. The “Hakone” series, however, was designed for the annual Redline Gallery “One Square Foot” exhibition, printed on mulberry paper, applied to cradled boards then coated with encaustic wax. (12 x 12" inkjet print, encaustic; return to “an apprAIsement”.)
